Ramiro Hinojosa Jr., APRN, MSN, FNP-C

Born and raised in Laredo, Texas, Ramiro Hinojosa, Jr., is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner at the Cigarroa Clinic. He has a deep understanding of the local culture and the community’s unique healthcare needs.

Ramiro earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas A&M International University in 2016, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner, from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2021.

Before joining the Cigarroa Clinic, Ramiro worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner with a focus on Adult Medicine at Gateway Community Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center. He also gained experience in critical care as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse at both Clear Choice Emergency Room and Laredo Medical Center. Furthermore, with a strong background in infection control and emergency care, he is skilled in administering CPR and first aid to patients of all ages. His extensive experience in emergency medicine has enriched his nursing practice and equipped him with the skills necessary to deliver exceptional patient care.

Ramiro is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He is proficient in English and Spanish and can effectively communicate with a diverse patient population.

Outside of his professional life, Ramiro remains committed to serving the Laredo community, reflecting the values instilled in him during his education and upbringing. He is hardworking, responsible, dedicated, and always eager to help others.

With almost a decade of primary care experience, Ramiro has established himself as a compassionate and skilled healthcare provider. His passion for cardiology makes him a vital asset for patients requiring specialized care in this critical area.
